General Tips 💡

  1. Start early It's never too early to start exploring research opportunities. Consider reaching out to professors or graduate students in your department as early as possible.
  2. Network! Attend departmental seminars, events, and meetings (RSOs like WCS hold events like this as well). Talk to professors and graduate students about their research and ask if they know of any opportunities for undergraduates.
  3. Research the faculty Look up the research interests of faculty members in your department and identify those whose research interests align with your own. Reach out to them with a brief email introducing yourself and expressing your interest in their research.
  4. Check your email regularly! Many opportunities may be announced via email. Make sure to stay up to date with updates and announcements from Grainger, CS, etc.
